was born in Milan and developed an interest in music from an early age.
She studied philosophy and graduated at the Catholic University of Milan; she got also a diploma from the Civica Scuola di Liuteria (courses for lute makers).
In the same years she was taught singing by Piero Romanenghi and Claudine Ansermet, lute by Giorgio Ferraris and Renaissance dance by Bruna Gondoni.
She completed higher courses in performance practice and Baroque singing at the Scuola Musicale of Milan.In 1999 she founded "Melancholia", a consort dealing with Italian, English and Spanish Renaissance and Baroque music: the name was inspired by the "pleasing melancholy" of music (Robert Burton, The Anatomy of Melancholy, 1621). Educational projects play an important part in the activities of the consort, with performances and workshop for students.

Laureata in filosofia, ha conseguito, presso la Civica Scuola di Liuteria del Comune di Milano, il diploma di liutaio restauratore.
Ha studiato canto con Piero Romanenghi e Claudine Ansermet, liuto con Giorgio Ferraris e danza rinascimentale con Bruna Gondoni, e ha frequentato vari corsi di perfezionamento presso la Scuola Musicale di Milano.
Nel 1999 ha fondato l'ensemble "Melancholia", specializzato nel repertorio rinascimentale e barocco italiano, inglese e spagnolo.
